Historic District Application Still Under Review

Historic Wallingford’s application for recognition of the Wallingford Historic District-North in the National Register of Historic Places remains under review with the Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation.

It has not yet been scheduled for a public hearing with the Washington State Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. We will post details of the public hearing when they become available.

Updated Historic District Application Posted

Historic Wallingford is pleased to share an updated and revised draft of the National Register of Historic Places application (Feb. 2022) for recognition of the Wallingford Historic District-North.

This revised draft will be considered at an upcoming meeting of the Washington State Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. We will post details of the public hearing when they become available.

Public Comment Sought on Maritime Heritage Area

The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is leading the effort to draft a management plan for the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area. The plan outlines the path forward for this new program, which aims to celebrate, maintain, and share Washington’s maritime heritage.

From February 1-March 4, the public is invited to offer input on the plan by taking a survey, reading the full Management Plan, or attending a virtual information session. Visit the Washington Trust website to find the survey and more.
